Job Title: Montessori Early Years Teacher

Employment Type: Full Time (Core hours 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday)

                                 (Part Time Role can be considered from Mon-Fri)

Qualification Required: Montessori Early Years Diploma

Job Description

Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and attentive lead Montessori teacher to assist in our Children’s House.  This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Muslim Montessori School to drive forward the learning needs of the pupils. The role is integral to the smooth running of the school and will require you to work closely with the headteacher to deliver the Alamiyah School curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a dedicated and exemplary role model
  • be an inspirational class leader capable of delivering the Montessori curriculum to a wide age range
  • firm understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • successfully engage each individual pupil through the employment of a Montessori pedagogy

  • be committed to the Muslim faith ethos and Montessori approach at Alamiyah

  • Experience of working in this capacity
  • Maths and English GCSE required

Main Duties:

  • Preparing a Montessori environment suitable for children aged 3-6
  • Planning for each pupil individually using the Alamiyah teacher planning formats
  • Planning whole groups lessons
  • Presenting Montessori individual and group lessons during the workcycle
  • Performing observations and assessments
  • Overseeing pupils during the Montessori workcycle
  • Directing teaching assistant’s roles effectively
  • Maintaining assessment records and tracking pupil progress
  • Writing reports and providing feedback to parents and to the headteacher
  • Providing care to pupils and managing outdoor play and lunch supervision
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized learning environment

Job Title: Drama Teacher

Position Type: Specialist Drama Teacher KS1/2 (incorporating singing, music and movement)

Qualification Required: Subject specialist degree/equivalent OR subject specialist experience/training and teaching qualifications are desirable but not necessary.

Job Description

Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a creative, confident and highly attentive Drama teacher to teach Drama whilst incorporating, Movement and Music within an Islamic framework.  The role will primarily involve the development, planning and delivery of a Drama/Expressive arts curriculum to a mixed age Primary Class spanning KS1/2, ages 5-10.  As part of the role the successful candidate will work towards directing pupils in an end of year drama production.  The role will require you to work closely with the Headteacher and the team to ensure that the learning needs of all pupils are met.  This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Muslim Montessori School to drive forward the school’s expressive arts curriculum.

  • Providing written feedback to parents and to the headteacher
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized learning environment
