Job Description

Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and attentive lead Montessori teacher to lead an Elementary Class spanning KS1/2.  This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Muslim Montessori School to drive forward the learning needs of the pupils. The role is integral to the smooth running of the school and will require you to work closely with the headteacher to deliver the Alamiyah School curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

Main Duties:

  • Preparing a Montessori environment suitable for the elementary child aged 6-11
  • Planning for each pupil individually using the Alamiyah teacher planning formats
  • Presenting Montessori individual and group lessons during the morning workcycle
  • Performing observations and assessments
  • Overseeing pupils during the Montessori workcycle and some afternoon lessons
  • Directing the support teacher in her role effectively
  • Maintaining assessment records and tracking pupil progress
  • Writing reports and providing feedback to parents and to the headteacher
  • Providing care to pupils and managing outdoor play and lunch supervision
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized learning environment

 

Job Title: Expressive Arts Teacher

Position Type: Specialist Expressive Arts Teacher KS1/2 (Drama, Dance and Music)

Qualification Required: Subject specialist degree/equivalent subject specialist experience/training and teaching qualifications are desirable

Employment Type: Part Time (1:15-3:15pm) (one afternoon a week only)

Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a creative, confident and highly attentive Expressive Arts teacher to teach Drama, Dance and Music within an Islamic framework.  The role will primarily involve the development, planning and delivery of an expressive arts curriculum to an Elementary Class spanning KS1/2, ages 5-10.  The role will require you to work closely with the Headteacher and the team to ensure that the learning needs of all pupils are met.  This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Muslim Montessori School to drive forward the school’s expressive arts curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

  • Writing annual reports and providing feedback to parents and to the headteacher
  • Providing care to pupils and assisting with outdoor play supervision
